Our tableware is made exclusively in Barcelos, in the north of Portugal, in a small, family-run Fairtrade factory. Barcelos is also where Botica Amano is based. This means that distances are short. We have deliberately chosen not to have large factories in the south of the country. The communication and relationship with our suppliers is open and based on partnership.

Microwave, dishwasher and oven safe up to 200°C, our tableware is tough and designed to last.

To ensure the longevity of your crockery, we recommend gentle washing cycles using standard dishwasher tabs.

Our RAW collection has untreated and unglazed sides - a design detail we hope you will love as much as we do. The lack of glaze leaves the material open-pored and therefore more susceptible to staining. To preserve the look for as long as possible, we recommend that you remove any food stains as soon as they get on the outside.

Matt glazes may show slight signs of wear from cutlery over time. These surface marks can usually be easily removed with bicarbonate of soda and a sponge. You can also use baking soda to remove stains on the outside caused by food colouring.

You can easily clean the vases with a little water and a cloth.

Please avoid chemical cleaning agents, as these can attack the glaze and thus impair the water resistance.

Yes, the vases are waterproof.

We generally ship within the EU. If you live outside the EU and would still like to buy our products, please write to us and we will find a solution.

We try to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible. Usually your parcel will be ready for despatch within 1-2 days. Within Portugal and Spain the delivery time is between 1-3 days. For other EU countries it may take a little longer. We will keep you informed of the progress of your order.
